Baptism

“It’s news I’m most proud to proclaim, this extraordinary message of God’s powerful plan to rescue everyone who trusts him…” Romans 1:16

Christians never forget the moment they give their heart to God. At Crossroads, we want you to experience the same joy and peace, love and grace, mercy and hope when Baptized.

We believe the blood of Jesus, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for forgiveness and acceptance into the kingdom of God. Therefore, your salvation occurs when you place your faith in the death – more importantly, the resurrection – of Christ as the total payment for our sin.

If you have accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, then we are ready to join you in your Baptism. As an outward symbol or your inner commitment to Jesus, Baptisms could be your next step if:

· You want to publicly celebrate your recent salvation · You’ve been Baptized in the past and have recently come back to Christ and want to reconnect with Him publicly · You recognize what Jesus has done for you and are ready to make a public declaration of your faith

Jesus instructed us to be baptized, and because of this, Baptism is an act of obedience. While it is not necessary for your salvation, it demonstrates your submission to God and His authority in your life.

If you are contemplating this important decision in your walk with Christ, please contact us at (269) 781-9094 or email us to talk with one of our pastors. Or, simply stop by the Next Steps tent after church to sign up for our next opportunity.
